ToneSpec Blues HSS Set
Blues tone is about feel, space, and the way a note blooms after you strike it.
An HSS guitar should not feel like three different pickups fighting each other. It should feel like one voice with range.
The ToneSpec Blues HSS set pairs our 1959 Blues PAF in the bridge with our 1959 Blues Strat pickups in the middle and neck. All three are voiced from the same late 1950s blueprint, built for warmth, dynamic range, and harmonic depth.
The bridge PAF humbucker delivers thick, singing sustain with open mids and sweet highs that never turn brittle. The Strat middle and neck stay warm, articulate, and responsive, cleaning up effortlessly when you roll back the volume.
Switch positions and the character remains consistent. No harsh jumps. No thin bridge.
This is the HSS setup for players who want expressive blues tone in every position, from warm neck cleans to soaring bridge leads.
HOW TO BUY

No Expense Spared. No Compromise.
Professional guitarists choose ToneSpec HSS sets because they solve the biggest problem in modern HSS guitars. Balance.
Most factory HSS guitars come loaded with an overwound, high output bridge humbucker that overpowers the single coils and sounds nothing like a true vintage PAF. The result is harsh highs, muddy mids, weak in between tones, and a bridge that feels disconnected from the rest of the instrument.
That is not how a great HSS guitar should feel.
ToneSpec HSS sets are built around a legitimate vintage voiced PAF in the bridge position. Not a modern, overcooked humbucker designed to impress on paper. You get clarity, bloom, and harmonic complexity with dynamic response that reacts to your hands instead of compressing them.
Dig in and it pushes back.
Roll the volume down and it cleans up.
Lean into overdrive and it sings with authority.
We also use a proprietary blending approach in the middle position that allows the bridge humbucker and middle pickup to work together seamlessly. Most HSS guitars have an awkward position 2 that players avoid. Ours is fluid, balanced, and musical because we voice the entire set as one cohesive instrument.
The result is an HSS set that transitions effortlessly between:
• Glassy dimensional cleans
• Expressive in between tones
• Thick articulate bridge leads
• Real dynamic control from your volume and tone knobs
No ice pick highs.
No collapsed mids.
No generic high output bridge that hijacks the guitar.
Every ToneSpec HSS set is built using premium materials and vintage output standards with hand voiced methods that prioritize feel and touch. The goal is not mid heavy volume. The goal is dynamic responsiveness. The kind of touch sensitivity that reveals the character of your wood, your amp, and your hands.
That is why top professionals install ToneSpec HSS sets in their main guitars.
If you want a real HSS guitar instead of a compromise, this is the set.
