What is Pro-Level Blues Tone?
Serious players already know this.
Great Strat tone is not about output or hype. It is about feel, clarity, and dynamic response. The way each note rings, blooms, and reacts to your hands across all five positions.
This is the tone players chase in the best late 50s Stratocasters. Open, expressive, and alive without ever getting harsh or thin.
Pick lightly and the tone stays clear and glassy. Dig in and it responds with warmth, harmonic content, and natural compression. That balance is what makes a great Strat feel effortless to play, and it is exactly what this set was built to deliver.
-Trusted by Grammy-winning composers
-Played by first-call session pros
-Built for players who demand more
You will commonly find these in the hands of players who rely on pro-level tone every day.
Most Common Trade-Ins
Through the ToneSpec Trade In Program, we consistently see the same pickups being traded for this set.
-Seymour Duncan Antiquity
-Fralin Blues Special
-Fender Texas Special
-Lollar Blonde
-Bare Knuckle Irish Tour
These are all respected pickups with strong followings. For many players, they are part of the journey.
With experience, many players start looking for more balance, more dynamic response, and a tone that feels alive across every position instead of favoring one.
That is usually when they end up here.
Pro-Level Tone in Your Guitar
You will feel it quickly...
-Notes ring with more clarity and separation
-The in-between positions sound fuller and more expressive
-The guitar responds naturally to your picking dynamics
That is what pro-level Strat tone feels like...
Vintage late 50s Strat sets that deliver this level of feel and balance are rare and expensive. The 1959 Blues Strat set delivers that same clarity, warmth, and response, with modern reliability and enhanced dynamic range.

PRO TESTIMONIALS

I’m the luthier/owner of Stonetree Custom Guitars for over 20 years now. My goal is to craft a “brand new old guitar”. I have relied on a couple of the biggest boutique pickup makers for the most part, but your pickups are a game changer. I have built guitars for many pros including Eric ‘Roscoe’ Ambel & Joe Bonamassa."

1959 Blues Strat – Specifications
DC Resistance
Mid 5k to mid 6k ohms, consistent with original late-1950s Strat pickups. Unlike vintage sets, each pickup position is individually calibrated so the neck, middle, and bridge work together perfectly, maximizing balance, output, and tonal response across all five switch positions.
Magnet Wire
Period-correct Heavy Formvar magnet wire, the same insulation used on original late-50s Strat pickups. This contributes to the open highs, strong harmonic bloom, and musical compression associated with great vintage examples.
Magnet Type
ToneSpec Proprietary Alnico magnets, engineered to deliver the dynamic response of Alnico 5 with the warmth and sweetness of Alnico 2. The result is a Strat pickup that stays articulate while maintaining rich midrange and smooth highs.
RWRP Middle Pickup
Yes. The middle pickup is reverse wound and reverse polarity, providing hum cancellation in positions 2 and 4. Our special proprietary process cancels while maintaining the classic "alive" Strat in-between tone associated with vintage non-rwrp pickups.
