Tone that “Blooms” - Get Inspired.

If you played a few humbucker equipped guitars from the 1950s, then you probably know what “Bloom” is all about. Not everyone knows that Bloom is a phenomenon that also occurs in really great vintage Tele & Strat Pickups too.

We identified an aspect of the vintage PAF making process that encourages the Bloom phenomenon to occur. We've applied this knowledge & other proprietary techniques to all of our pickup designs. This is why you hear so many guys saying our pickups sound like they have tubes in them.

Unlike our other Strat designs, these pickups are not formulated with a certain style of music in mind. The goal is to make a pickup with vintage voicing that is actually superior to vintage Strat pickups in terms of “Bloom”.  This was a lofty goal and the design process has taken us years to master.

If you have never experienced Bloom, then you are really missing out.  Many people describe Bloom in different ways and others are at a loss for words when hearing and feeling it.  To our ears there is softness to the attack of each note followed a very interesting and complex harmonic content to the tone.  Then just as the note should fade away, it continues to sing and sustain its sweet voice.

Pro Tested – On the Road & in the Studio

We’ve heard a lot of people say that vintage Bloom is not possible with new pickups or new guitars, this set of amazing pickups has proved the nay-sayers wrong. Don’t take our word for it, just listen to what one of our Professional Beta-Testers has to say….

Ford Thurston, a Nashville based guitarist is no stranger to the road, the studio or vintage tone. Ford has owned many vintage guitars from the 1950’s & 1960's. He also has access to many other vintage guitars in the various vintage guitar shops in Nashville.

Ford was a beta tester on our Bloombucker Humbucker design, so when it came time to do some A/B testing with vintage Strat's we called on him again to lend his amazing ears. He has discerning ears & has little time to waste on subpar gear. After all, he has way to many vintage instruments & amps to waste his time with anything less than perfect.

He took his time and compared our designs to the best vintage guitars in Nashville. Step by step, he told us what sounded right and what needed work. This design took a few years and several design changes to make just perfect. Once you hear them, you'll wonder what you ever did without them.

    Vintage Tone - Modern Innovation.

Our painstaking design and testing process has yielded pickups that that sound great with tube amps, pedals, solid state amps, digital devices and even software.

Players with good ears seem to hear the difference right away. In fact, just about every pro we've dealt with has ordered multiple sets altering hearing how these pickups transform the feel & the tone of their instrument. We are sure you will appreciate the attention to detail when you hear your new pickups.
